Privacy

In order to comply with user agreements for Web-based services that I use in conjunction with this site (listed below) and to answer basic questions that visitors might otherwise have about the topic, I've put together this privacy notice. It's pretty simple and straightforward, but read on if you're interested.

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics on this website to gather data about visits. I use this information to know things like: what websites link to my site, how long visitors stay for, and what pages visitors to my site view. Personal information, which is defined as information that personally identifies you (i.e., name, email address, billing information, or other data that can be reasonably linked to such information) is not collected by me in the process.

You can learn more about Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics Website and the Google Privacy Center. (That last one may be an oxymoron, but whatever.) You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser add-on.

FeedBurner

I use FeedBurner to track how many people view and subscribe to my blog. It doesn't disclose any personal information. You can learn more about the FeedBurner service at feedburner.com or at Wikipedia.

Wordpress

I use the Wordpress platform to publish and maintain my blog. Wordpress is benign as far as blogging platforms and privacy concerns go, but for the sake of disclosure I list it here. You can read more about Wordpress at wordpress.org.

Personal Communication

To put it simply, I hate getting spam and unwanted solicitations and I wouldn't further that stuff upon anyone else. I do, however, enjoy thoughtful, interesting, and/or funny correspondence. If you contact me, I won't add your contact information to a mailing list, send you marketing info, or publish your communication with me without your consent.
